The first time I produced a show with Swami Beyondananda was in 1989 in Santa Cruz where we were both living at the time. Just two months later, the earthquake hit, the big one that happened during the world series and destroyed the Bay Bridge, most of downtown Santa Cruz and many parts of San Francisco. Swami performed as part of a benefit two friends and I organized called "Shake Awake in the Wake of the Quake."
I've lost track of how many shows I've produced with Swami since then. Each show has been unique and the Swami's ability to channel humor keeps getting better. If you've never experienced Swami Beyondananda, now is the time. If you've seen him before, know this will be a one-of-a-kind show.
Swami Beyondananda is considered as a writer, humorist, performer and cosmic comic alter who is very famous due to his various comedy shows. Well, his original name is Steve Bhaerman. He started his career as a teacher and then a funny thing was happened. The interesting name Swami Beyondananda had come into his mind and from that day he altered his name to Swami Beyondananda. Some of his popular comedy topics are:
In recent years, Swami Beyondananda has performed at numbers of political events such as the Transpartisan Alliance Citizens Summit, the Department of Peace Conference, the Network of Spiritual Progressives Conference, the Praxis Peace Institute Economics of Peace Conference and many more to mention. Swami Beyondananda is probably the one and only comic Swami who channels both Bullwinkle and Elvis. It offers serious comedy that you bound to laugh. You can know the creative works of Swami when you look at his books such as:
Wake Up Laughing and Leave Laughter in Your Wake
with Steve Bhaerman (aka Swami Beyondananda)
Time: CANCELLED Sunday, March 20, 2016, 2-5 p.m.
Laughter is a transformational tool that used wisely can bring not just physical healing, but emotional release, mental flexibility and spiritual perspective. A sense of humor is always mentioned as a desirable trait in a partner or a mate. Humor used the right way magnetizes positive energy and uplifts everyone in its field. Can a sense of humor be learned? Steve's experience says it can be cultivated and practiced. Whatever your profession, calling, or “work of heart”, a healthy sense of humor will make your pursuit of happiness happier. As you lighten up, you will enlighten up all those you come in contact with.
